Unfortunately, you won't be able to win the Grand Prize or First Prize (we need a shareable photo for that), but you will be entered to win any of the three Runner up prizes. New Corset Pics

Elaine, our superior webmaster, got on the ball and updated the corset listings with some of the new pics already. She's obviously much faster than I am :) or at least on top of things.

Here are a couple that are up on OC.com.

The lovely Brittany seen here in the green Satin overbust corset... We're also getting this one in pink with black trim. So feminine, can't wait!

Here's the back... She had to hold onto the table while I was lacing her up :)

And Brittany again, in the Satin Underbust Corsets... Seen in Siren Red & Royal Blue.

These are also coming in a GLORIOUS pin-stripe, (which we are all coveting!) and beautiful black satin.

Another one of the OC.com gals modeled a beautiful satin brocade corset. I don't have pics for that one yet, but they will be coming soon. The brocade has a beautiful floral lace trim. Coming in black satin with gold floral leaf embroidery & colorful floral accents, a beautiful white brocade satin - perfect for the bride, and a wine colored brocade satin with similar gold leaf & floral accents.

I'm just loving these new corsets. Once they start taking off, we're working on even more patterns and even more fabrics and colors! Can't wait!

Video & Photo Shoot for New Corsets

We had a video and photo shoot for our new line of authentic corsets yesterday. These babies are absolutely glorious. Premium Satin, Spiral Steel boning, all metal front busk, high quality grommets and laces. These corsets are stunning and they are traditional - meaning that they are designed for tight cinching and waist training. Beautiful and high quality. Check them out on our website (new pics coming soon).

Wow! What fun we had yesterday with some of us running around in corsets, others attached to a camera, others lacing furiously, and another directing her little model tush off. We all had our own experiences and talents that meshed together beautifully. Who would have known that a bunch of geeks and girly girls in a warehouse could pull off something so glamorous. Can't wait to show some of the pics from the shoot.

We also had our fearless leader taking "behind-the-scenes" shots of the shoot in action for me to share with you guys. I'll be going through the pics today and can't wait to get 'em up. So much fun!

In other news: We're still waiting on the winner of our latest sweepstakes, Mary Ellen, to claim her prize. Time is running out, maybe a new winner will be chosen. Stay tuned for details.

Also... OrchardCorset is now on Twitter! Follow us and be the first to know about special deals, promotions and new products.

A personal story with a Happy Ending...

We received the following email from an actual customer when we sent out a follow-up email. Its very personal, and very inspirational. I asked for her permission to publish her story and was granted that permission with enthusiasm. Customers like this are part of the reason I love coming to work each day. Congratulations again, Penny - on your weight loss and for finding confidence and beauty in yourself.

Review,
Ok so I do have an opinion. Here's my story....

I have actually purchased several of these. Initially starting with size 44 and currently in size 38. I have been dieting quite a bit and have been successful in loosing some weight. However, When this happens one suddenly ends up with lots of loose flabby skin that just hangs around. I was loosing weight and I wanted to look good. I wanted to wear tighter shirts. But I couldn't because I still had a roll, even though it was a roll of loose skin, it was still a very unattractive roll. With the Powerful Waist Cincher, I was able to manage that roll, hide the loose roll of skin and wear the tighter waist defining shirts that I wanted to without being embarrassed.

Years ago when I had lost quite a bit of weight, I lost it immediately in (1)my breasts and in (2)my chicken legs. Two places where I (1)didn't want to loose and (2) where I didn't need to loose. It was good to be loosing weight, but it did nothing for my figure. Currenty on my journey of loosing excess weight (60 lbs) I have had the Powerful Waist Cincher take the trip with me. This has helped me develop a waist again. I actually have a waist. I have lost the weight in my waist area and have kept my bra cup size. My legs are proportioned more evenly to my body as well.

Ok so I have to admit, Its embarrassing to be talking about my "roll of skin". Even my weight loss is an embarrassing subject. I mean who wants to be the girl who "lost 60 lbs" as everyones eyes bulge out of their sockets. But I did want to share this because I do have an opinion. I really am in love with my waist cincher. It has allowed me to feel sexy for once in my life. If someone dances with me and puts their arm around my waist, I don't have to turn red because I am worried they are grabbing or feeling my flabby skin. I can feel proud to be curvy - cuz let me tell you, I still have curves. And curves in the right places because I have the Powerful Waist Cincher. I wish someone told me these things existed. But truthfully, who is going to go up to the fat girl and says "hey, ever try a girdle?" It would have probably crushed me. I would have been embarrassed and got depressed. But in all honesty, what a solution to my issue!!!! I live in a small village town in Wisconsin, Its not like L.A. where I can just make an appointment to get fat sucked from my tummy and pumped into my breasts. I barely have enough money to puchase the Powerful Waist Cincher. But once I had it and realized what an impact it had, I couldn't be without it. I have at least purchased four. Starting in size 44,42,40, and now 38. I feel this is an accomplishment. But I guess I really appreciate someone providing these products. They have truly helped change my life. I am so much more confident and bold.

This Powerful Waist Cincher is my favorite style too. It gives me support both in the front and in the back. I like the straps that go over the shoulder because it doesn't buckle. All I need to do next, it get it in different colors :)

Thanks for letting me share.

The Wisconsin Fan!

Wow! What a success story! We love hearing about how products have changed lives, smoothed out special occasions or just made a difference in your self confidence. Send us your story and maybe yours will be featured on our blog - just like Penny's.

...And the winner is...

We've just finished our Spring '09 "Review & Win" Sweepstakes and we have a $100 shopping spree winner... well, so far we've had two. The first winner, chosen at random, was Rachel from NY. Unfortunately, the email address she provided wasn't working, so we had to choose another winner. This time it is Mary Ellen from Wilmington, DE. We're waiting on a response from her so that we can officially publish the winner. She has until 6/15/09 to respond and still claim her prize. Keep your fingers crossed that she responds in time! If not, we will draw yet another winner... We promised that we would announce the winner yesterday. I guess I should have planned on waiting for the winner's approval. Next time, we'll give ourselves some time.

We collected quite a few reviews over the course of this sweepstakes and the next one is in the works right now. The details will soon follow. We're thinking about splitting up the prize to allow for more than one winner. I want to thank each of you that wrote a review, good or bad. We appreciate the feedback and I know that its easier as a customer to make a smart purchase when you have the opinions of people who have already had experiences with a particular item.

Keep writing those reviews, folks. I'll be featuring some of my favorites on this blog - some that are a bit too long for the format on product pages, and some that made me smile. And our next sweepstakes is coming soon! If you want to be kept in the loop about our current sales and sweepstakes, sign up for our newsletter. We'll send out the details of new promotions as they are made clear.

Congratulations again to Mary Ellen! Your $100 shopping spree is waiting for you!
