Tights are heavy, opaque, snug and stretchable one-piece garments that run from  the waist down. There are two main types of tights available - those designed exclusively for aerobics, dancing or other athletic activities, and those designed for general wear by women, girls and under costumes.  Tights are usually made with 40 denier yarn and over and are sometimes manufactured with materials other than nylon.
